Cannes 2018: Sonam Kapoor Second Red Carpet Look Seemed Tame Until She Turned Around
Sonam Kapoor, as is common knowledge, is currently away from her hubby dear, Anand Ahuja to mark her presence at the ongoing 71st edition of the Festival de Cannes, or simply the Cannes 2018. And while in the French Rivera, the actress has been stunning us with all her sartorial prowess from classy polka dots to crisp white shirts to pretty florals to that of gorgeous bridal looks.
After having wowed us with her glam Ralph & Russo lehenga that she donned for her first red carpet appearance at the film fest, the actress went on to give off some serious Disney princess vibes in a nude beige ball gown by Vera Wang that her stylists, Rhea Kapoor (also her sister) and Deep Kailey picked out for her. The strapless gown featured a structured bodice and a flowy sheer skirt. Though the number was pretty, it seemed kind of basic, at least for Sonam who’s known to bring along major drama with almost all her looks. But then… Sonam turned around!
While the front of the gown was kind of plain, all the drama seemed to be happening at the back with dramatic flower-like ruffle detailing on the hip and a longer than long train crafted out of a yellow sheer fabric that was intermixed with the same beige sheer as the skirt.
Like her previous appearances at the Cannes 2018, this one too saw minimal and classy accessorisation with a pair of cute heart-shaped diamond drop earrings by Chopard, a statement ring from the same label and her huge wedding ring.
Matching her eyes with the sunshines yellow train, makeup artist Namrata Soni, gave Sonam beautiful yellow-tinged smoky eyes that were well complemented with softly blushed cheeks and pretty pink smile. Her look was rounded off with a messy low bun done by mane man Stephane Lancien.
Clearly, Sonam isn’t going to let her on-fleek Cannes style file have a single dent in the graph!
