Check Out Deepika Padukone Going Retro With Stripes & Polka Dots

by MFG

If it’s ordinary, it ain’t Deepika! We are well aware of Deepika’s love for experimentation. Be it her outfits or her make-up or her hair-do, the actress makes sure to drop our jaws with at least one element of her look. And this time it’s her mix-n-matched number. The actress took her style game to a whole new level when she stepped out for a Tissot (the brand she endorses) event in Hydrabad. Now it could take a few moments, but the look sure will grow on you.

Here’s a closer look at Dippy’s attire…

What she wore

Deepika opted for her regular, and probably favourite, stylist Shaleena Nathani who picked out Johanna Ortiz separates for Deepika with a little quirky touch to them. Going the retro way, Shaleena picked out black-n-white, polka-dot pants for Deepika which she teamed up with a stripped, falling shoulder top with long puffed sleeves; both from Johanna Ortiz’s collection.

Shoes and accessories

The floor-sweeping pants gave us no peak at her footwear, though we know she sported YSLs, thanks to Shaleena’s Insta account. A statement, delicate, layered neck-piece was all the accessorization they needed.

Hair and make-up

Keeping her look chic, make-up artist and hairstylist Daniel Bauer went in for a messy low bun with centre parting. He gave dippy a little smoky effect around the eye which is now becoming a standard for most. However, what came as very pleasant and welcome surprise were the burgundy lips, because frankly, we were just getting tired of nudes and pinks.

While Deepika has sported black-n-whites, stripes and dropping shoulders earlier, Shaleena gave the styles a nice spin by combining them together. The outcome, clearly is that of a supremely stylish and fresh fashion statement. Despite so many elements to focus on, nothing about the look feels overdone. Between the polka dots and stripes mix-match and the bold lips, we wouldn’t want to change anything in this awesome look.
