Elle Fanning Amps Up Her Basic Outfit With This Crush-Worthy Clutch
Elle Fanning sure knows her way with fashion. Be it in elaborate red carpet gowns or in skimpy party separates or in sophisticated formals or simply in fuss-free casuals, something about the way she carries herself makes each one of them seem like there couldn’t have been a better way to work that look. It’s not hard to believe then that the actress has always enjoyed a favourable position with fashion experts across the globe. And she was certainly not going to change that fact anytime soon.
Elle recently attended the Galveston premiere at the SXSW Film Festival in Texas where she stepped out in what seemed like a relatively basic outfit, though Elle knew how to amp it up like a pro.

What She Wore
Elle was styled by her usual stylist, Samantha McMillen, who decided to blend a bit or formal, a pinch of casuals and a dash of quirky for this outing. McMillen picked out a formal-looking pinstriped jumpsuit by Ganni with long sleeves, high neck and a matching waist belt. While the silhouette took care of the casual aspect, the pinstriped fabric cemented the formal vibe.
Shoes & Accessories
Elle stepped into a pair of contrasting white brogues by Freda Salvador to go with her outfit. She then lugged a graphic-printed, stud-embellished Prada clutch which instantly elevated the diva’s look while also keeping it from being too serious.
Hair & Makeup
Hairstylist Jenda left Elle’s straight, blonde tresses loose in a centre-parted manner that framed her beautiful face. Her look was rounded off by makeup artist Erin Ayanian Monroe with winged eyes, highlighted cheeks and nude lips with a hint of pink.
First things first… we are crushing on this pretty-meets-quirky Prada clutch and are highly tempted to own one even if it comes at the cost of several months salary. That said, the outfit, though basic, is not half bad either. Mainly because it’s the perfect formal-meets-casual look that can take you from a boardroom to a club without breaking much sweat. Plus it’s easy to copy in IRL.
