Here Is How IIFA 2016’s Green Carpet Went Pastel This Year

by MFG

Gone are the days when people showed up at red carpet events in bright jewel toned colours to steal the show. We live in the era of effortless minimalism and the pastel tone outfits sported by leading ladies of Bollywood on the IIFA green carpet at Madrid, Spain are explanation enough, so here is a low down to all the pastels we spotted at IIFA

1. Athiya Posing pretty in Pink

Styled the talented Ami Patel who capitalised on Athiya’s young vibe and petite tall frame. Athiya was seen walking down the green carpet in a pink floral Rami Kadi gown looking soft and elegant.

The gown had intricate floral details and embellishments. Her hair and makeup were left minimalistic, however, wewish she would have picked a bolder lip colour and interesting hairdo to go with the look.

2. PC looking lavish in a Lilac silk gown

Priyanka Chopra wore a divine Schiaparelli Couture gown to the IIFA. While we thought the gown was rather simple and she could have gone for something more elaborate we love how she paired the gown with a sleek low bun and bold lips.

3. Shilpa looking like the Queen of hearts in white

Shilpa showed off her sculpted bod in a rather racy white number by Shantanu-Nikhil. The drapes, cuts and fit of the gown were near perfection and so were Shilpa’s statement earrings and perfectly polished hair and makeup that flattered her ensemble well.

She aptly wore her hair in a sleek bun and added some oxblood lips to the look.

6. Bhumi looking demure in a white slashing gown

Styled by, Shiana Nath, Bhumi Pednekar looked stunning in Geisha Designs Fall-Winter 2016-17 collection gown at IIFA. She added some more glam to the look with a stunning pair of shimmery earrings by Minerali store and breath-taking embellished clutch by Parti Nava.

7. Dia Mirza revived the 90’s

Styled by Theia Tekchandaney, Dia walked down the green carpet in a pastel green sequin gown by Nakul Sen. The sequin gown with attached choker has a very pretty yet grunge 90’vibe to it.

She paired the look with Couture cut purple and green, amyethest and diamond earrings from H.Ajoomal Fine Jewellery and added a clutch to accessorise further more. She left her makeup dewy and glowing using nude tones mostly.

8. Neha Dhupia not quite cutting it in white on the green carpet

Styled by Sohaya, Neha walked down the red carpet in a white ball gown skirt by H&M paired with a white shirt. While the skirt was a good addition pairing it with a white shirt tumble downed the whole ensemble. Her edgy hairdo did not go to well with the entire look as well.

9. Richa Chadha In an asymmetrical high-low hemline gown

Styled by – Rochelle Dsa and Anisha Gandhi, Richa Chadha wore a white dress by
