There’s something really cool about the unapologetic vibe the younger lot in Bollywood brings along with every fashion statement of theirs. And this stays constant through all their ensembles, right from quirky casuals to classy formals. They just seem to have mastered the knack of looking put-together and well-groomed even when working a grungy look. But today was a different story as Varun Dhawan decided to take his style statement a step ahead.

Now we already know how the androgynous wave has gripped the current fashion zeitgeist and yet inhibitions around “girly” colours refuse to die down with men trying to avoid pinks and lavenders at any given point in time. Varun, however, decided he was done with all this gender-biased colour spectrum and opted for a beautiful lavender tone with his outfit at the IIFA 2017 press meet earlier this morning.

Here check it out…

What He Wore

Styled by Kunal Rawal, Varun sported a linen shirt in a light pink shade by Zegna and layered it under a lavender blouson jacket with burgundy cuffs from the same label. He contrasted his pink and lavender with a striking white by way of his white Zegna jeans.

Shoes & Accessories

The actor stepped into a pair of beige double monk shoes from Kunal Rawal‘s eponymous label. The actor threw on a pair of black aviators to complete his ensemble.

There are many reasons for us to have fallen for this look… 1) It’s as handsome and polished as the man himself, 2) It proves why pink and lavender are NOT for girls alone and 3) Despite the formal appearance, the look has a kind of cool and relaxed undercurrent to it, or maybe, it’s just Varun. Loving every bit of this fabulous outing of Dhawan. Kudos to Kunal for doing such a great job at styling the actor.
