There’s never really been a time when we haven’t been impressed by a style statement made by Kareena Kapoor Khan. Blessed as the diva is with superior sartorial sensibilities and the face and body to put these sensibilities to great use, the actress has times and again wowed us with her fashion statements giving us major outfit goals AND leaving us with some serious outfit envy at the same time. And she was doing just that yet again when she decided to bring on her ethnic glam for the Navjote ceremony of Anaita Shroff Adajania’s son.

A quick lowdown on Kareena’s beautiful turnout…

What She Wore

Styled by Tanya Ghavri, Kareena was seen wearing a mint green anarkali featuring an embroidered sheer layered over a matching green brocade lining. The Simar Dugal number was teamed up with a matching green and gold dupatta.

Shoes & Accessories

Going all the way through with the ethnic look, Kareena was seen sporting a pair of chandbalis and a bold, statement-making ring to complement her outfit. Her jewellery was courtesy of Khurana Jewellers.

Hair & Makeup

Kareena’s usually bouncy mane of hair was pulled back in a centre-parted, sleek pony and her look was finished off with smoky eyes, blushed cheeks and nude lips.

Verdict

We’ve always maintained that an ethnic ensemble is never complete without the right accessories. Irrespective of one’s preference for minimalism, an ethnic outfit deserves to be accessorised in all grandeur as Kareena so brilliantly demoed. While the outfit itself was a beautiful creation, teaming it up with equally stunning baubles was a good idea. We also like how the muted makeup is keeping the look from being too much.
