When it comes to deciding a festive look, the traditional 6 yards tend to trump all else which is why we’ve been on hunt for the perfect saree to don this Diwali. And guess what? We just found one on Karisma Kapoor. The actress was recently in the capital for a Jimmy Choo event looking gorgeous as hell in a beautiful metallic saree that is as unconventional as it is stunning.

Check it out for yourself…

What She Wore

For the do, Karisma was styled by Mohit Rai who picked out a light gold saree for the actress from Kiran Uttam Ghosh‘s Metallic Collection. The saree was teamed with a matching one-side-sleeved top featuring an embellished high neck.

Shoes & Accessories

Mohit accessorised Karisma‘s look with pieces as pretty as the saree itself. A pair of Tyaani earrings adorning the actress’ ears, a pair of Jimmy Choo peep-toes to elevate her frame and a golden Jimmy Choo clutch to match her heels made up for the perfect accents in Kapoor’s look.

Hair & Makeup

Karisma’s hair was styled in a wavy half-do, embellished with sparkly pins and her look was rounded off with deep, smoky eyes and nude pink lips. Her hair and makeup were done by Kritika Gill.

#MyFashVerdict

Teaming up a metallic outfit with more metallic accessories can be quite a tricky business but Mohit sure knows how to get it right… go with subtler tones, light gold in case of Karisma. We are in absolute awe of this look, firstly because of the unconventional saree, then because of the adjoining accessories and then because of the perfectly done hair and makeup. Nothing about this look that requires even the slightest bit of alteration.
