Malaika Arora Khan is our God!

Malaika is not high on minimalism and we know that from the way she’s always accessorised her ensembles, particularly her ethnic wear. Be it a saree or an anarkali or a basic kurti, the highlight of her look almost always happens to be her beautiful baubles. Even then, we couldn’t have thought any ensemble that’s as gorgeous as the saree she recently donned could be outshined. And we stand corrected!

Malaika recently attended the launch event of Satya Paul’s latest Diwali collection titled Ramayana and befitting to the collection’s theme, Malaika found the most awesome accessories which commanded attention despite the interesting style Malaika draped her stunning saree in.

Here take a look…

What She Wore

Given that she’s the ambassador of the Satya Paul and launching the brand’s newest collection, it was obvious that Malaika opted for a saree from the said collection. The actress donned a multi-coloured, vegetal-print saree and draped the pallu around her neck like a stole. Her saree was teamed up with a chic, long-sleeved blouse. She was styled by Maneka Harisinghani.

Shoes & Accessories

Coming to the most important aspect of her look, her jewellery, Malaika wore a bold, statement-making neckpiece from Apala’s Lord Krishna collection. This was teamed with an equally beautiful statement ring from the same label.

Hair & Makeup

Malaika teamed up with her go-to make artist and hairstylist, Mallika Bhatt and Alpa Khimani. While Mallika gave Malaika beautiful smoky eyes and a soft mauve-ish lip tinge, Alpa rounded of Arora’s look with an off-centre-parted low bun.

#MyFashVerdict

Given that we’ve already made our love for her jewellery clear, we aren’t going to dwell on it any further. We would, however, like to add that her simple, yet stand-out, saree drape is definitely something we are trying with our festive saree. Guess it’s safe to say that this look is what festive and ethnic outfit dreams are made up of.
