Mirzya Promotions: Harshvardhan Kapoor Proves Sherwanis Are The New Long Jackets
Harshvardhan Kapoor is all geared up to make his entry into Bollywood with his soon-to-release film, Mirzya, where he stars opposite Saiyami Kher. The actor is up and about town promoting his film, while also giving men across India in particular, and across the globe, in general, a lesson or two in creating the most striking and memorable fashion statements.
We earlier informed you how the actor has been donning three-pieces with a twist every time. We now have him demonstrating a cool new way to work the classic Bandhgala Sherwani. Fortunately, this comes just in time for the Navratri season, when we are going to need all the fashion tips for men there are to rock the ethnic look while also maintaining the ‘cool’ quotient.
Here’s a closer look at Jr Kapoor’s attire…
What he wore
The actor was styled by Rhea Kapoor, who picked out a beautiful fusion ensemble for his Raipur promotions. The actor sported a grey Mandarin collar shirt from Bhane and teamed it up with a pair of royal blue pleated trousers and a hand-embroidered Bandhgala Sherwani in the same shade of blue, which he left unbuttoned.
Shoes and accessories
With his Indo-western outfit, Harshvardhan sported a pair of formal, dark brown lace-up shoes. Now add those dark aviators and you have the killer swag going.
We can’t emphasise enough on how impressed we are with Kapoor’s impeccable style statements. From teaming up his Kurta with a formal suit to donning an unstructured jacket with his casuals, we’ve loved them all. But this latest appearance of his where he’s working the Bandhgala as a long jacket, has got be his best, by far. Whoever said Bandhgalas and Sherwani were meant for weddings and other formal ceremonies, had clearly not seen Harshvardhan breaking the ‘Sherwani Equals Formal’ myth so effortlessly.
