Pretty In Pink: Duchess Kate Middleton Lights Up The Celebration
Probably the most celebrated family in the world, British royalty celebrated the annually organised Trooping the Colour ceremony yesterday on the 18th of June (Sunday). Marking the sovereign’s official birthday (her 91st birthday), the Queen seemed to have quite a blast at the celebration put out for her. Whilst Queen Elizabeth’s actual birthday was on the 21st of April, the family came together to celebrate an age-old ceremony and might we say they looked fine!
However, there was someone who totally stole the show for us and as you’ve probably already guessed it was the Duchess Of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, of course, looking pretty in a pink ensemble. While the Queen waved away and as Prince George and Princess Charlotte delighted the crowd, their mother looked simply dazzling in her rosy-y ensemble.
The Duchess chose a rosy pink Alexander McQueen dress and charmed her way through the ceremony. As royals do, Kate paired the look with a pink ruffled hat on which we’re totally crushing. Keeping plain with her makeup as always, Kate went with a dull gold envelope clutch to complete the look. The seamed neck and waist of the dress helped lend a very polished look to the do-up.
It won’t be fair to say that the mother of two accessorised minimally ‘coz those drop earrings…wow! Kate went with diamond drops to embellish her ears and that was more than enough. She had on her gorgeous wedding ring as usual and that was it. With her hair in an elegant bun, Kate looked her approachable and slender self. Kate and Charlotte even had matching outfits for the ceremony and we’re in love!
Kate looked every bit the royalty she is and we can’t help but stare…
