Ranveer Singh Just Proved Coloured Velvet Is Not Just For The Ladies
If Ranveer Singh’s doing it, it’s definitely cool, to say the least. And the actor certainly took cool to ultra-high levels with his version of Pantone’s colour of the year, Ultraviolet.
The actor made inaugurated the formal Ranveer Singh style file on Saturday as he attended the Umang Police Show 2018 demoing working this bright colour of the year while also proving that coloured velvet is just as androgynous a trend as any. Incidentally, his outfit also seemed to be a bold and beautiful ode to the tone-on-tone trend.
Here, check out Singh’s ultraviolet gorgeousness…
What He Wore
Ranveer was styled, as always, by Nitasha Gaurav (because who else could keep up with his quirky awesomeness). And for the event, Nitasha who decided to get ultraviolet formals comprising of a pair of velvet trousers, a matching velvet waistcoat and a velvet blazer custom-made for the actor by Tisa Studio. His 3-piece suit was teamed with a printed lilac shirt from the same label.
Shoes & Accessories
Adding some more purple to his look, Ranveer sported a pair of black-rimmed, purple-tinted Carrera sunnies. he then broke the purple monotony by way of his brown tie, his navy pocket square with a brown border matching his tie and a pair of olive green and brown pointy-toe brogues by Sunil Mehra.
We’ve got to admit when we thought coloured velvet, we never quite imagined a look as bold and stunning as the one that Ranveer just worked. Of course, it’s a given that no one, but Singh could have worked this look as effortlessly as though it were a classic black suit. Also, we never imagined ultraviolet to look so cool and so hot, at once. Thanks to Ranveer, we now know the true potential of the hue.
