All The Chic Trends We Spotted At Paris Fashion Week
There’s really nothing quite like Paris Fashion Week — the shows, the creative ensembles from iconic fashion houses — it’s a really happy time of the year for us and checking out what’s in-store for the next season is always a delight, especially when there are so many strong ones to enjoy — from 80’s flashbacks to neon hues, corset belts and a whole lot more, take a look at all the stylish trends that caught our eye as fall fashion weeks came to a close at Paris.
1. Neon comeback
Of all the trends we hoped we’d never see again, neon just squeezed out its way on top as the spunkiest spectrum of hues to make a comeback. From acid greens to bright yellows, there’s no escaping them this winter.
2. Pencil it in
The waist skimming pencil skirt made a glamorous return this season through higher waists, metallic knits and a whole lot of leg lengthening silhouettes.
3. Slit it high
There’s nothing we love more than a thigh high slit — it instantly makes just about any outfit appear glam and gives you the illusion of those long legs you’ve always craved.
4. Pussybow knots
The pussy-bow neck made a feminine return on the runway looking as chic as ever with gorgeous versions rendered in delicate fabrics for the ultimate chic feel.
5. Fringe freedom
Nothing sells movement and drama on the catwalk quite like some fringe! Whether head-to-toe or just on the shoulders — we love watching this trend get re-invented time and again on the runway.
6. Mustard sauce
If there was one colour that has ruled fashion week entirely in all the cities — its mustard yellow! Bright, punchy and vibrant, this colour is slowly gaining some serious mainstream status.
7. Sensational sleeves
From balloons, to puffed and ruffled, sleeves underwent major surgery at the fall runways this season and the versions at Paris Fashion Week didn’t fall behind.
8. Street chic
Hoodies, graphics, signs, slogans and t-shirt dresses galore! Streetwear chic garnered some serious attention at Paris.
While we live for androgynous couture, nothing says minimal masculinity quite like some waistcoats. Whether long and open or structured and patterned, waistcoats were a delight to see on the runway.
It wouldn’t be fall fashion week without some metallics to shine through the crowd of clothes.
11. Corseted waists
Seem as though designers haven’t had their fill of the corset belt trend quite yet and we couldn’t be more relieved. This trend blew up last and is going no where this year either.
12. Eighties dynasty
Fashion week is never complete without an ode to a fashionable era and this week it was the eighties. From power padded shoulders to suits, Madonna-like lace dresses and ruffled concoctions — we’re all about embracing the heydays.
