Do Summer Weddings In Style With A Little Inspiration From Our Favourite Bloggers, Appearances

It’s summer and wedding season is in full swing! Whether its a Mumbai wedding or a destination one, every nuptial on the calendar is an occasion to dress for, and with back-to-back ceremonies, showing up with your best bridesmaid style is no easy feat. If you’re in need of some fashion inspiration, then look no further because we’ve gathered our favourite style bloggers who have great dressing ideas to suit every style of wedding.

1. Deep hues for the summer

There’s no bigger cliché than wearing light colours and pops of pastels from head-to-toe for the summers — the same old rule doesn’t have to apply to weddings! We loved this look by Shereen Sikka Bharwani of Love and Other Bugs — seen here pairing an embellished emerald lehenga with a pale pink blouse by Divya Reddy, Shereen proves that dark colours can totally work for the summer especially if you team it with pastels.

2. Desi colour-blocking

Just like her blogger better-half Shereen, Trishala Sikka of Love and Other Bugs believes in the power of colour-blocking as well. Take for example her recent take on a fun desi look — perfect for traditional summer weddings, we love how this outfit came together beautifully with its red blouse and saffron lehenga pairing that’s been offered a colourful punch with a teal green net dupatta thrown over it.

3. Minimal magic

Teeny tiny blouses have been trending all over the runway off-late and we are absolutely taken with the way Juhi Godambe has incorporated it into her recent #DesiOOTD. Add to the look, a navel grazing lehenga, this silhouette is making her appear taller than she is by rendering her a longer upper torso and is extremely hot-weather appropriate. An Abhinav Mishra make, we love how the matching top and lehenga embroidery have kept the look minimal yet impactful.

4. Contemporary bridesmaid

For those of you who just couldn’t be bothered with typical desi attire, the modern gown is for you. In fact, most wedding function dress codes even call for the contemporary gown these days! Case-in-point, Santoshi Shetty of The Style Edge who’s minimally embellished pastel peach gown is all we need for the summer. Apart from being a stunning wear, this outfit actually has tons of repeating capabilities at other non-wedding events as well — that’s perfect for the girl who prefers getting the most out of her occasional wares.
