Fashion Faux Pas To Avoid On Your First Date
Nerve-wracking, Perplexing, stressful, taxing, maddening. These are few of the many adjectives that can describe any girl’s emotions before the deadly first date. A first date can be anything between awkward and creepy to romantic and enchanting. Looks are certainly not everything but what you wear on your first date can have a huge impact on your date’s perception of you.
So, here is a list of some common Date dressing faux pas you should avoid.
1. WEDGE HEELS
This might come as a shock to you but guys hate your wedges, Ladies. The result of a new survey has found that guys ranked wedges as the least attractive shoe trend. Uggs, Crocs and Platforms followed after. REALLY!? GUYS you’d rather have us wear crocs? Well while we try to figure the male psychology out skip your wedges and stick to stilettos or comfortable flats.
2. TOO MUCH
Being over dressed might be taken as a sign of you trying too hard and guys always like a chase. So tone that outfit down a notch you can keep that sexy red dress for some other time maybe stick to a summer dress for your lunch date.
3. TOO MANY COLORS OR EXCESSIVE COLOR MATCHING
Though, the monochrome trend has really been popularized. Too much of one color is a no-no. Matching colors makes an outfit look more fashionable, but only up to a point — once the colors start becoming too similar, or if many items in the outfit are the exact same color, there is a steep decline in how good the outfit looks.
4. TOO TRENDY
I Personally Love to push that fashion envelope and am all for trying out new trends but there is a right time and place for it and your first date is not it. Clothes that are too trendy may intimidate the guy and also if you’re trying out a new trend for the first time it may be uncomfortable for you and the Most Important rule for date dressing is comfort.
5. HEAVY ACCESSORIES
That chunky new statement neck piece that you just bought and cannot wait to wear. Well, put it aside a girls night out is the perfect time for you to wear it but not a first date, Boys are inattentive and distracted little creatures and you do not want all the attention to go from your pretty face to that necklace. Of course unless you think your cleavage is more attractive than your face, Girl you know that isn’t true!
