Sonam Kapoor And Kajol In Stunning Sarees Are Giving Us Major Festive Goals
Come festive season, we simply keep an eye out for some really great Indian outfit ideas, and with Navratri right overhead, we are all the more on the look out for the best tradition attire we can don. Thanks to Sonam Kapoor and Kajol, we might just be half way there. The divas recently made a very strong case in favour of the classic Indian wear… the saree. We earlier spotted Kajol in a saree promoting her husband, Ajay Devgn’s upcoming film, Shivaay, and we then saw Kapoor demonstrating how to work the six yards Sonam Kapoor style, at the endorsement event of Kalyan Jewellers in Chennai.
A look their turnouts…
What she wore: Bringing on a major bridal vibe, Sonam opted for a custom Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla saree in south Indian silk with motifs making up a wedding procession, embroidered with zardozi and multi-hued resham. Styled by Rhea Kapoor, Sonam set some really high standards for every Indian bride-to-be.
Shoes and accessories: Given that Sonam was there as an ambassador of Kalyan Jewellers, it is needless to say that the actress sported some beautifully crafted gold pieces from the label. Sonam stacked up two neckpieces and a pair of Chand Balis that worked well in keeping up with the bridal theme of her attire.
Hair and make-up: Sonam’s hair and make-up were done by her usual hairstylist and make-up artist, Namrata Soni, who gave Sonam a beautiful low bun with twists and adorned it with gajra. As for the make-up, Sonam donned a beautifully dramatic winged eye and nude lips. Mildly blushed cheeks rounded off her look.
What she wore: Kajol was styled by Allia Al Rufai for the event. Allia picked out a beautiful self-printed white Sabyasachi saree with an embroidered gold and black border. The saree looked even prettier with the stark contrast of the black velvet blouse with taj mahal motif embroidered on the sleeve. Clearly, elegance is not something that you forget, no matter how long you stay away from the paps.
Shoes and accessories: Kajol let her saree do all the talking here and went easy on accessories with just a pair of gold and pearl danglers.
Hair and make-up: The actress’ hair was styled a classy updo with a few loose strands framing her face. Her look was perfectly finished off with smokey eyes, nude brown lips and a bindi.
