Step Up Your Eyeliner Game By Trying The Teal Green Cat-Eye Look
If Marilyn Monroe, Sharmila Tagore and Amy Winehouse are any indication, its that the classic cat eye has been trending for decades. And although we love a simple, unfussy flick, there are many ways to up the drama factor and take your basic eyeliner wing to new heights. To give you some inspiration, makeup artist Shraddha Naik is here to convince you to sport a teal green cat eye instead. If you’re itching to break out of your black eyeliner rut, keep watching and give this fearless look a try.
To get you started on your way to becoming a winged eyeliner pro, here’s how Shraddha broke the look down for us;
Step #1: Prep the eyes with a primer to create a perfect base for the liner. Here, Shraddha has used the Shiseido Pore Smoothing Corrector.
Step #2: Conceal your under eyes and dab it with a little setting powder.
Step #3: For this tutorial Shraddha has used the Bobbi Brown Ivy Shimmer Ink Gel Eyeliner to get that perfect teal green shade. Using an eyeliner brush that you’re comfortable with, either a M.A.C 210 precise liner brush or an angled one like the Sephora #20 start drawing from the inner corner to the outer corner of your eye. This line should start out very thin and get slightly thicker as you continue towards your outermost eyelash.
Step #4: Draw a thin wing that points up and out from the outer corner of your eye. The wing’s tip should angle up towards the end of your eyebrow.
Step #5: Repeat the same steps on your other eye!
