We all know that layering is one beauty hack most us women have to master in today’s day and age. Layering helps add those many small details that you may otherwise fail to impress without. However, one common question asked by most of us is ‘how could you possibly layer in this scorching summer’s heat?’. Well, you can and Alia Bhatt shows you just how!

Layering if done right can take a simple outfit from looking drab to FAB and Alia demonstrates just this for you. Like many other B-town celebs, the young actress was just one more guest at the star-studded birthday bash of celebrated director Imtiaz Ali and we couldn’t help but snap her to show you how the Udta Punjab actress looked.

Alia stepped out of her car looking like the bubbly little thing she is, styled by celebrity stylist Ami Patel. The actress decided to go with a pair of ripped jeans that were cropped at the ankle. She styled the denims with a strappy white blouse. The slight lace detailing on the blouse lent a formal vibe to the breezy look. And now girls, take note. The actress defied the ‘can’t layer in summer’ rule by layering her ensemble with a bright yellow printed shrug from House Of Masaba. The full length throw-over’s accented sleeves added quite a dramatic effect to the outfit.

Mastering the art of ‘keeping it simple’ the actress looked rather chic in her do-up. But that’s not all. She added a pair of white sling back Dior heels to match her top and even added a silver-studded pink Stella McCartney sling to the look. Talk about mastering colour combos! With her hair half-tied, the actress accessorised with several silver rings and went with bright pink lips to complete the look.

We’re taking notes for sure! Are you?
