Irrespective of the fact that her on-screen appearances often hint otherwise, when it comes to her sartorial choices, it is safe to say that Anushka Sharma is a minimalist at heart IRL; a trivia we learnt about the diva primarily during her Phillauri promotions. So it is not unusual to spot her working minimalist versions of the current “it” trends. She did it with summer whites, she did it with monotones and she’s now doing it with florals as well.

We already know that florals are THE flavour of the season, surprisingly more so this season than ever before. And while busy prints, bright hues and bold motifs seem to be reigning the fashion scene at the moment, Anushka found the floral dress of every minimalist and black lover’s dream.

Here, check it out…

What She Wore

The actress recently attended YRF’s talent launch event along with Ranbir Kapoor and for the do, the actress worked a black midi dress from Tanieya Khanuja‘s Holiday collection featuring a single, bold white floral motif on the front and it’s twin on the back (though, not visible here). She was styled by Allia Al Rufai.

Shoes & Accessories

Keeping up with the monochromatic theme of her ensemble, the actress stepped into a pair of white Alexander Birman ankle-strap heels. Of course, she went sans jewellery for the do.

Hair & Makeup

Sharma‘s shiny mane of hair was styled in neat, centre-parted waves by hair stylist Yianni Tsapatori and her look was finished off with nude eyes and peachy, matte smile that was courtesy of makeup artist Vardan Nayak.

It’s chic, it’s classy AND it’s black! There is no way we can not like this dress or the gorgeous lady donning it. With florals all around, Anushka’s dress comes as a refreshing break from the busy prints we’ve come to expect from the trend. And her perfectly done hair and makeup are only upping the elegance of the overall look. Nothing here we would want to or could bear to change.
