“Accessories can really make or break a look. Anyone can wear an outfit but what actually creates a look is the accessories,” said Kriti Sanon’s stylist Sukriti Grover in an exclusive interview with MFG while talking about Kriti’s promotional style for her last release, Raabta. The movie might not have struck the right chords with the audience, but Kriti’s style statements through her Raabta promotions were a definite hit, thanks to the memorable pieces of jewellery the actress used to brighten up her looks. And guess what? The actress is still riding high on her statemet jewellery mantra, as she recently demoed at the IIFA press meet in Delhi yesterday. Have to admit… we are falling for this fashion mantra!

Here take a look at Kriti’s turnout…

What She Wore

Styled by Sukriti Grover, Sanon was seen wearing a beautiful contour-hugging midi in a deep green hue featuring an asymmetric neckline and a subtle off-centre, front slit from Rutu Neeva’s Fall ’17 collection.

Shoes & Accessories

With her outfit, Kriti stepped into a pair of nude block heels. However, this was as far as it went with minimalism; everything hereafter was just plain statement. Kriti’s dress was accessorised with a pair of beautiful statement earring by Outhouse and two statement rings- one on each hand- from the same label.

Hair & Makeup

Kriti teamed up with her usual hairstylist and makeup artist, Aasif Ahmed and Adrian Jacobs who know what works best for her. Aasif left Kriti’s poker straigh hair down with a partial centre-parting and her look was finished off beautifully done smokey eyes and soft pink lips.

Whoever came up with the ‘one statement piece at a time’ fashion rule had clearly not witnessed the awesomeness of the hit 2000s’ mantra of ‘no such thing as too many statement pieces.’ And Kriti sure is making a very strong case in favour of the trend. Cutting a long story short, we love this look without a doubt; no changes no alterations, no additions and, most definitely, no subtractions.
